Hi everyone quick question i ordered a Strut Brace for my GLA 45 but i noticed that there was a Wire / Line going from the Strut which would need to be removed so that i can install the Mouting Points.

My question is Does anyone know what that Wire / Line is or does and can it be quickly disconnted ?

I saw that other GLA 45 dont have that line but i have the AMG Ride Control Suspension so maybe that has something to do with that

That line is for the suspension setting. Sport suspension was an option so not all 45s got that. You'll see a button that looks like a shock with a spring on your dash. Press that to turn on its light and get a dash indication. Then you will be riding on stiffer shocks for a sportier ride.

There should be a plug nearby so you can disconnect it and mount your brace.

Aw man you dont have to do that just for me i dont want to cause anyone extra work, i thought id just ask here maybe someone has already installed a Strut Brace with the AMG Ride control suspension since a Google search didnt give me any Results. However i just Looked up The Part Number and looked at Some Ebay Listings and found that at the top there is a connector. When i was in the Garage i was able spin the wire at the top left to right pretty easily so idk how that attaches from the Pictures it looks to me that the Connector should be firm ?. But i think there should be a release somewhere. For anyone Interested the Part number is: A1763205038

Ive had another look today and it turns out you can Kinda take apart the Plastic Housing (Just Clipped in) which incases one wire. I tried Pulling on the Wire but it wouldnt move i also tried pulling on the Entire housing as well as Spinning it left to right but it just dosent want to come out. From the Ebay Listing Picture it looks to me like there is a Yellow clip Holding something in but on my strut there is a Rubber thingy i tried moving it with a small flat head screwdriver as well as reaching in and trying to unclip it but it didnt work. I have searched everywhere on the Internet and i just Couldn't find anyone who removed the AMG Ride control Suspension only how to remove Air suspensions on older models :/ I think that maybe you have to Drop the whole strut to reach that clip which would be a massive pain just to unplug a Wire.
