There's a transmitter, the object with the 'eye", there's the computer, the version that you see with different models, and then there's a bracket to mount the transmitter on behind the star. Also, you may have to get a star that works with the transmitter, I modified my grill, and it took me forever to find a decent looking star that was IR and radar transparent.. , and probably a few different wiring harness, and also the stock as you mentioned,. since it's controlled/interfaced by the dash computer display, that display may be different or that computer may have to be flashed to have the software updated to run the Distronic. But.. In all honesty, driving my car quite a bit, it's sort of a waste of money.. I'm sure there's daily commuters who use it in medium traffic, and it works OK,- but if you've got cruise control, and that works pretty well for you. I don't see the payoff of purchasing the components of the system especially if you need to run a new wiring harness, and the car goes back to the dealership for XENTRY reprogramming for the new modules. Hey Thanks that was Exactly what i was Looking for Couldn't find it in the Other Parts catalogue i was using

As for the Computer Modules i figured as much but i will be leaving the car with a Mercedes Specialist to have it all Retrofitted so he should be able to code it to the Car i just wanted to have all the Parts together before leaving the car at him.

As for the Star that was Actually the easiest part to find i bought it directly from MB with the Part number

Although when i Look at it under the Light its just a Black Space not sure if thats how it supposed to be on the X156 but on my V177 when i shine a light on that you can see little Lines going across the Star from the Radar System.

Now ill just have to find the Stock and ill be sorted
