NTG 4.5 Screen dead (radio working)

My GLA has been sitting for ~2 weeks and when I got in it today, the screen for the MMI wasn't working. The radio worked, but no display of any kind. The backup camera didn't work, nothing. It was playing songs from my iPod just like it usually does, and the volume knob worked.

I doubt this is related, but I'll mention it anyway: I'm pretty sure my battery was not fully charged after sitting because my Eco Start/Stop didn't start working until I had driven ~50 miles today.

I researched this a bit and tried resetting the radio with the long-press of the "Eject" button, and that did seem to reset something because after that it wasn't playing the iPod anymore, but it would still play the radio or CDs. Alas, still no screen though.

I checked every fuse that said anything "Command" or "Audio" and they're all good (I really had my hope set on fuse #37).

I am still covered by the MB CPO extended warranty. But, I have an aftermarket Android interface box tucked into the dash (that's how I managed to get a backup camera into my no-frills GLA). So, I assume I'll have to uninstall that whole thing, lest I be told it won't be covered because there's something aftermarket installed (oh, and here's the bill for our super-special, uber-expensive tech to have determined that!)

I feel like if I have to rip apart the dash again to uninstall my RoadTop Android/camera interface, I might as well just do an upgrade to a newer, larger screen. So, like, why bother going to the dealer if it still means a ton of aggravation anyway?

I just wish I knew for sure if it was the actual screen. I don't even know how to test the screen to see if it's the screen itself or something further into the mix.

Any ideas for what else I could try?

Thanks, sam45AMG! Yup, I tried that. I hoped it would just wake up somehow. No luck. So, I (begrudgingly) made an appointment to take the car to the dealership and their first available date was 2 weeks out. Not being very good at waiting (and worrying about my aftermarket Android/camera interface being in the mix), I completely disassembled my dash and center console again, took all the aftermarket stuff out of the loop, reconnected the screen and...voila! The screen worked again! I am SO GLAD I didn't got to the dealership with this. That would have been an expensive "no, lady, you're wrong" visit.

So, what does a girl do when looking at a completely disassembled car, missing her backup camera horribly, and it's Prime Day? You guessed it, I ordered an upgrade. Now I am in the throes of installing this thing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09B72YY8H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 (no affiliation, just providing the link for information).

I know, it's the same manufacturer as the unit I just took out, but I didn't troubleshoot the issue much (maybe it was just a cable?) and jumped on the opportunity to get the $580 unit for $450. At this point, I have only tested a few of the functions and nothing has been put back together again. I did have some questions upon installation (getting the front parking camera to work was important to me), and I am very impressed with what I see so far and the support provided by the company---albeit, on 12-hour delays---has been excellent.

Bottom line: it wasn't my OEM screen, it was something to do with my Android Auto/backup camera/front camera interface box and I am replacing that with a new 10" Android screen that will give me much more functionality. Wish me luck!
