There are two different Navi systems for the GLA. The standard is Audio 20 which is prewired for Gamarin Map Pilot that uses an SD card, the other is the optional Command that has Navi built-in and us a harddrive that is built-in Command and does not use an SD card.

Thanks for the info. Do both have the SD card slot in the dash?

If I have the command system are you able to do it by yourself or do I have to take it to the dealership? Right now when I push the navigation button it says that navigation is not installed.

It would first be prudent to positively identify which system you have, the Comand Nav (hard drive based) or the Garmin SD card. Although given your "not installed" readout I would suspect the latter.

If you didn't get a build sheet with your GLA then a VIN decoder is a good alternative: Free online Mercedes-Benz VIN Decoder : MBDecoder

Given authentic Benz parts are expensive, but especially at this 3 strikes and you're out point why not just head to the dealership and be assured it will work for you?

Right. So I've now tried three different cards and none of them have worked. Can someone post a link to a reputable vendor that has the exact card for me?

Just open the package and install it in the SD slot. Do not lock the card as the system needs to write to the card to register the car.
