thanks for the reply.
I think i read / watched possibly on youtube somewhere that the actuator is "part of the exhaust.. welded on to it..
leaving it to a private mechanic on the 25th of the month, he aid it might be clogged up and will try to release the grime etc

hello i have a 2015 GLA45 AMG with stage 2 tuned, weistec intake, weistec downpipe, muffler and 2 resonator delete. I broke my first spring with stock exhaust (speculation at first). first there was a mild rattling noise. i did not know then that the spring had already snapped in 2 pieces so i ignored it. the rattling noise would go away when i go WOT and would rattle again in idle. fast forward to after my downpipe were installed and stage 2 tune. the flap was rattling like crazy due to loss of spring tension because it previously broke already. so my tuner/installer told me when i get home to check the actuator. and so i did sure enough the spring snapped in 2 pieces. the car is only running on 50% power at this point because of my tune and unfortunately this cannot be bypassed without addressing the issue. instead of spending another $300 for the actual unit i decided to order the spring on ebay for $50. second spring arrived after a week. put the spring on the oem actuator. the assembly lined up perfectly with flap in close position. it only took me 5 minutes to put everything back together. it was a success. the car ran as it should it was super loud when you hit the redline and yo can hear the pops and burbles when shifting. now this car is only a weekend car but when i drive it, i drive it hard. now 2 months after installing the my second spring from ebay i broke it again. ebay seller sent me a free spring since i reported it right away and hoped that they will honor some kind of warranty and they did. i'm like great. received technically my 3rd spring after another week of waiting. in my mind this should be easy like last time. but i was wrong. it took me 3 hours trying to figure out how to put it back together because the spring is not lining up now with the flap in close position. and when i put it back on the car the flap works in reverse. instead of opening when you hit the gas the flap closes. so here i am trying to figure out whats happening from Thursday until Sunday i'm still trying to figure out what the heck is going on. i don't give up easily but i'm tapping out. i called my shop and the master tech said that i can bring it in and he will see if he can fix the reverse closing and opening issue. or i can save $200 per hour on labor rate if i buy a new actuator with spring.
