Hi I have a 2017 gla 200d sport premium and have changed the wing mirror search light setting to on but when I opened the front doors the lights are not coming on do they only work when it’s dark enough or should that not matter weather it’s light or dark

Side mirror puddle lights were not an option in the USA in 2017 when we specified our car. So my response here may be off base. But as I recall the puddle lights operate as a function of unlocking the car with the remote.

I personally don't know what a "wing mirror search light" is. I have puddle lights on my 2016 GLA250 (at least, I think that's what they're called when the door opens and shines my MB logo on the ground). I Google search isn't helping me to find the definition either ... it brings me right back to this forum
