The affect of steering geometry can create clunking, especially when the tires are cold and on a slick surface (smooth cement for instance).

There's lots of information out there.

Update ...
After driving the vehicle some more, it seems that the noise pretty much only presents itself when reversing out of the driveway slowly and turning the wheel rather quickly at the begining of the day (i.e., after the car was sitting throughout the night--temps in high 50s throughout the night and mid 70s during the day). I don't remember being able to recreate the noise later in the day. Additionally, if I turn the wheel more slowly as I back up, or back up more quickly as I turn the wheel more slowly, it doesn't seem that the noise presents. Will keep testing.
That is completely normal.

Shutting off traction control may reduce the "problem" but won't completely eliminate it.

This was discussed for a long time on the Porsche 997 (911 model from 2005 to 2012) some years ago. It occurred on 2WD as well as AWD. It was prevalent in cold weather with cold tires. It is the price we pay for having wide high performance tires.

OTOH early 2016 and before cars had potential problems with the transmission output shaft that could cause a clicking as it failed. That failure seems to have been eliminated when they changed the gearing to reduce the "start from a stop" roughness.

Meanwhile ... Congrats on your new rides and welcome to the forum.

Common with Ackerman steering and high performance tires. 99% of the time this is nothing to worry about. 1% of the time it's a transmission problem (which would be one side only and thus is not your problem). Don't worry. Drive and enjoy.
