It would be interesting to see if you feel a difference between the stock fluid and the Ravenal. I am looking at using a different fluid than MB one for my next service. I have a 2015, which doesn't spec the antifoaming agent. I know there were a few changes for the 2016+ transmissions, along with a boost in power, of which I am wondering if that is the reason for the necessity of the additive in the later models. I often hear an audible 'whine' when op temp reaches about 180 degF and accelerating quickly. The whine is much more audible when in sport or M mode at 180 deg. Below 170 deg F, I don't recall hearing it.
