I noticed a while after delivery that my 2016 GLA250 has no steering lock mechanism. Is that common to other GLAs, or have I missed something? If it's standard, then I am hopeful the other GLA security devises are adequate.

With the fob based communication, the ECU is "locked" and kills all engine and tyranny functions. Mechanical column locks pretty much went the way of the dodo bird.

Remember this car has an electric power steering (EPS), not mechanical. No juice, no steering...
