What it does? in a nutshell, it resets the ECU/TCU's learned detection of throttle inputs, effectively re-establishing the 0% and 100% pedal travel positions. , ie. quick rabbit starts as opposed to slow takeoffs. it gets used to how you drive.

Does this work on the GLA. It is from another form on MB cars.

1.If you want instant throttle response, you can have it for free.

2.With the engine off, turn the key to position 2 (don't start it.)

3.Press the throttle pedal all the way to the floor past the kick down click.

4.Hold it down for about 30 seconds.

5.Take your foot off the pedal and take the key out.

Wait 5 seconds, and start the car.

Has any GLA/AMG owners here completed this reset on their car? I would like to try, but would rather not be the guinea pig and cause issues...
thx in advance.

And if yes - what are the steps with push button start?

I did it with my CLA 250 2022, because the monkey that gave me a test drive drove like he was a youngster, and the gears would whine and jerk, so I reset it with the push button on but I didn’t start the engine, and it changed completely right away. Works like how I like it now. Reset complete and smooth shifting. I wonder when I get my anual maintenance will that monkey want to drive my car. I will be prepared with the rest. Good luck

this is absolutely fantastic...!!! Did the reset as outlined, and indeed the DCT shifts a lot smoother. I am geared toward economy rather than performance, so I prefer a later lower rpm but smoother shifting. This is of relevance to me since I have done the diverter gate upgrade and the factory shifting points seemed a bit off. It did further smooth out the abrupt shifting. Now I have to see if I can detect any MPG improvement.

Push Start Button=With foot off brake pedal and car not running depress the Start button two times where everything lights up on dash. This the same where it says turn key to position 2. do the steps 3, 4 and 5. Depress button once to turn everything off. Wait the 30 seconds and then do a normal start.

This erases the memory and the car goes default shift points. Drive as you normally would and in the next something like 100 miles it will learn your driving style. Do not drive it different than you would normally drive as you not get the benefit of doing the reset. The car learns the wrong driving style.
