Hey im currently on the stock 19x8 inch wheels. Ive no clue on how to choose the right offset on the wheels. I want to get 19x8.5 wheels and was wondering what offset would be best.

Would a +35mm offset work?

There is very little difference between the wheels you have (19x8) and what you are asking about (19x8.5). Wonder if the cost ($$$, time, + PITA) of changing? What is wrong with the 19x8 OEM's? What is your objective in changing?

I want to get a better looking wheel that's also a different color, either black or bronze. Also trying to get a nice flush look. I think I am going to go up to a 19x9.

stock ET is 45 with 8x19 , but 8.5 and same off set will get wider stans. i m runner 8x19 ,45 et OZ ultraleggera htl the, lightest you can buy for $400-450 range @20lbs, i got spaces 25mm front and 20 rears. you can do 20mm fronts too, 25 is sightly out of fenders. 9x19 with stock 45mm et will be perfect if u can find any light ones. the light weel the fast the car.hope you know that. stock wheels are 27-28 lbs fyi

Share some pics when you get a chance! And let us know how the clearance looks at that width and offset. I'm also planning on 9.5 wide rimes to fit the proper race tires I want. I just haven't taken the time to check all the clearance values and whatnot.

I am on 19x8.5J ET45 but running 15mm spacers and on 245/45/19 tires. Still needed to shave a bit of the plastic inner rear fenders. That's the most flush look I could pull off.
