Question regarding GLA250 fog lights

When I got the car, the fog lamps came on automatically when the switch was set to "Automatic" for the daytime running lights. At one point, I manually turned off the fog lamps by pushing the switch to the left of the headlights switch. Now, I must turn on the fog lamps manually and cannot figure out how to get them back to the point where they came on automatically when the daytime running lights turned on automatically. Does anyone know how to make it happen? Also there are two buttons to the left of the headlight switch. One is the manual turn on/turn off of the fog lamps. What is the other for? If I had rear fog lamps? That second on/off button does not seem to do anything. Thank you for your reply.

Based on the MY 2015 GLA250 operator's manual, the other button appears to be your rear fog lamp. On an MB, that usually is the left taillight glowing brighter than the right side to give traffic behind you a visual reference for passing, etc. Turn on your headlights and that switch, then check the rear and see if the left taillight doesn't glow a bit brighter.

I will check it out when it is dark, in regards to the rear light switch. Any idea how how to set the front fog lamps to turn on automatically?

Can't be done. Has to be turned on each time.
