The Mercedes GLA is confirmed to go on sale in early 2014. The MSRP on a new GLA is expected to be £5,000 higher than the A-Class’ entry-level price tag of £20,370.

However, shoppers wont be limited. They will be able to select from a feast of equipable options, including the latest in German safety and Mercedes driver assistance systems, which will naturally assault your pockets accordingly.

In addition to the regular GLA, an AMG injected big brother will also be for hire. The GLA45 AMG will use the same modular 355bhp 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder engine, seven-speed dual clutch gearbox and four-wheel drive system as the A45 and CLA45 AMG.

No word yet on North American pricing, but expect it in the CLA’s range of $30k.

We know it'll cost a little more than the CLA, but we can also be sure it'll be less than a GLK. Granted that doesn't narrow it down much.

CLA range sounds great to me.

The CLA and GLA will be the goto entry level luxury cars at competitive price points and Mercedes DNA.

I was hoping to see american pricing and not Euro.
Seeing where the GLA sits in MB's line up I can't see it starting any more than $30 000 - $35 000. Anything more and MB is smoking crack

Yeah you can never base the american price on the euro. It always throws people off. Your better off waiting for the actual price before jumping to conclusions.

Exactly, if you convert the european prices listed above to USD, it will be ridiculously high, which won't be the case

The way vehicles are priced is way different than in U.S.

if it's significantly more then just avoid it and maybe get a used GLK?

The point of the GLA is a cheaper and smaller alternative to the GLK..


The GLK starts at 38k doesnt it? And you can easily get one for 36k brand new.

Isn't the CLA 30k?
