Congratulations and welcome to the forum! Personally, I wouldn’t do a downpipe. They’re a pain to install and not cheap. Plus the car won’t pass emissions and that stuff isn’t good for you either. I’d leave it as is unless the cat is failing then a high flow dp is best.

I'm not a fan of a downpipes given emissions. A high-flow Cat will accomplish most of your intent.
