The KBA recently released its own test results of the controversial coolant that Mercedes claims is too flammable to be put it its vehicles. These results say that though the coolant is flammable, it is an acceptable level of risk. The KBA further claims that Mercedes-Benz' tests subjected the coolant to extreme situations that would not ever occur in real life.
Mercedes-Benz disputes this. A spokesman says, "We have tests, in real life, in an environment that is not surreal."
So its a good ol' fashioned stand-off. Mercedes has a a date with the French Council of State to appeal the ban of its vehicles next week. Right now the A-Class, B-Class, CLA and SL are all banned from sale in France.
