It has been a really great year for Mercedes-Benz. The three-point star brand has broken sales-records all over the globe, and it seems that sales records won't be the only records broken this year.

2013 will be the third consecutive year that Mercedes-Benz has beaten the production numbers from previous years. No less than 1.49 million vehicles will be manufactured by the end of the year.

“With this production record, Mercedes-Benz is setting yet another benchmark. This attests to the good customer response to our products. We will continue to grow with our attractive offering of models - and will be able to accommodate the demand thanks to our high flexibility and the quality of the team.” said Andreas Renschler, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG responsible for Manufacturing and Procurement Mercedes-Benz Cars and Mercedes-Benz Vans.

With sales of over 1,322,500 passenger vehicles sold to date this year, Mercedes has already beat it's sales numbers from last year with an entire month to go.

The GLA and CLA lead the way

And soon the new C class will too.
I think that Mercedes-Benz was expecting the CLA to do well, but even so it is still surprised by how well it is doing across the globe.

I am more curious to see how Audi and BMW will respond to Mercedes-Benz' success.
I think Mercedes has this in the pocket

BMW has the 2 series? 1 series?

Audi is coming out with the A2 A3?

The Mercedes CLA and GLA are still more attractive

And that new C class?

Sure beast the 3 series update.
