The battery is in the passenger compartment above the passenger's feet behind an easily removed plate. I don't have a diagram at hand but the search function is your friend.

Mine seems to charge from the battery tender which I attach to the main battery.

The engine layout dictates component positioning under the bonnet be it right or left hand drive. The interior layout generally gets flipped when the drive (steering wheel) changes sides.
