Greetings from Monterey, California. Today, my wife and I purchased the cocoa brown GLA 250 4MATIC. The car is still crossing Atlantic. We expect to start driving the "Espresso machine" on the second week of January.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! Waiting for your GLA while on the ocean is an exciting time. Looking forward to photos when you receive it. In the meantime, there is a world of information here to get you front-loaded to go as soon as your GLA is delivered.
Congrats!

You will love it. I've been driving it for the last year and it is a great car. Although I have to say that I drove the new C300 coupe for a couple of days while mine was in the shop for service A and I have to say loved it!

Not surprised at all. Fortunately the CLA was the only compromise they made, probably what helped them do better with the C-Class since they're not losing sales on those looking for the cheaper barrier to entry.

Happy to join the forum-Dec. 18th article

Dear GLA friends,

Thank you the notes, happy to join the forum. Yesterday, an interesting short article came up in the Insider car news about the GLA 250 success. It states that as of November 2015 the GLA 250 sales doubled the sales of X1. So much about pros and cons of different comparative reviews...:

Roger that! :)
Our 2016 GLA 250 4MATIC has arrived

Yesterday, we got the car, the cocoa brown GLA 250 4MATIC, premium, multimedia, 19" wheels, blind assist, etc. It is, indeed, a very nice and entertaining machine. The first bit of observation. Due to the delivery delay, we got for week a loaner GLA 250 ( credit to MB good service style). The loaner was basic 2015, fw only. I was surprised to find out the the first drive of our 2016 4MATIC appeared to be noticeably different feel of the road and different dynamic. Apparently, the default mode is no longer Eco, but Comfort, a kind of intermediate state between Eco and Sport. I found it more interesting. The softer feel of the road is a bit harder to explain. The loaner wheels were 18", supposed to be softer than my new 19". Could that be the 4MATIC effect? Anyhow, the big driving will start soon. I am looking to sharing the impressions.
