Hello, new user here! I live in the UK.
I’m thinking about buying a used GLA.
I had a Mercedes CLK before which I loved.
My budget isn’t the highest and I’m looking at a GLA 2016 200d with 70k miles. It says it has full service history and had 2 previous owners. I don’t know if it was motorway miles.

I personally prefer high mileage with a full service history over low mileage with poor servicing.
Thought I’d check with you owners though in case there’s anything to look out for.

As you know a vehicle used and maintained on a regular basis is better than one that sits for long spans. And 70K is nothing compared with the 200K or more that one can reasonably expect from a modern vehicle.

As you also know full service records are all important.

Thermostat, water pump, O2 sensors, exhaust system, etc. typical high wear components but no real surprises. Some have issues with pano-roof track guides and drainage tubes, although proper maintenance of same should also help mitigate. Batteries, esp. the Aux Li-ion have been problematic for some as well.

Be reminded that automotive forums exist primarily to assist with problem resolution so reported flaws are surfaced far out of proportion with most owner's experiences. We've had no significant issues with our MY2018's.

Firstly, it's great that you are looking for a GLA with a full service history, as this can be an indication of how well the vehicle has been maintained. However, it's also important to consider the type of service history it has. Has it been serviced at an authorized Mercedes dealer, or at an independent garage? Ideally, you would want to see service records from a Mercedes dealer, as they will be more familiar with the specific needs of the GLA.
In terms of the GLA itself, there are a few things to look out for when buying a used one. Firstly, check for any signs of wear and tear on the interior, as this can be an indication of how the vehicle has been used. Additionally, take the car for a test drive and pay attention to the handling and suspension. Look out for any unusual noises or vibrations.
It's also worth checking for any recalls or known issues with the GLA model year you are interested in. You can do this by checking with Mercedes or by using online resources such as car forums or consumer watchdog websites.
Overall, a 2016 GLA with 70k miles and a full service history can be a good choice, but it's important to do your due diligence and thoroughly check the vehicle before making a purchase. [disallowed link deleted]
