Hello,

I bought a GLA 220 AMG last week and I experienced discomfort while driving downhill on a motorway (110km/h) wherethe car seems to be very light and very challenging make turns around corners.
I checked on the web about the DSR function but not sure if that is the right solution as it is written that it won’t be working at speeds >20km/h.
Any suggestions? As this is automatic I can not switch to low gears. But I see that I have an option to go from D1-D7 and it may be the solution.

Does the 220 not have paddles on the steering wheel? If it does, you can overtake the automatic shifting.. left paddle is downshift.. right is upshift.

Thanks so much! Indeed it has the manual gears when I pull those paddles.

Sure, the ‘true’ manual guys can say “drop a gear and disappear” but they can’t say “slap a paddle and skedaddle”

And you need not be too concerned when using the flappy paddles as the computer won't let you do anything that will actually injure the engine/transmission. It's always watching.
