Thanks for posting Aida, and welcome to the forum. It appears a "one in a million" situation where the privacy screen became detached/misaligned and thereby prevented the hatch from properly closing. And yes you have to be sure the screen catches are fully seated in their respective sockets. Sometimes they will appear to be, but not so, as in your case.

We removed our screen early on after purchase as we find the tinted glass affords adequate privacy and these hatch-articulating screens often get in our way when loading/unloading bulky items, as it appears happened to you.

Removing the screen was the first thing I did when getting my GLAs home the first time. Do not keep stuff in the back to steal and more convenient when putting stuff in and taking it out. Sometimes stuff is taller than the screen so it is in the way.
