Hello Everyone,
I'm a soon to be GLA45 owner based in Scotland. I'm taking delivery of my 2018 one on the 26th. Is there a buyers guide kicking about for these or any points on things i should be checking?
Any advice or pointer would be great.
Cheers.

yea depending on what your coming from, getting in, out of the drive, and past 8ish fpf, its kinda sucky, north of 15, its like riding a big motorcycle
Do always be fully stopped, foot on brake, before moving the gear selector device. Count one mississipi, just to be safe.
Ignore any knuckle popping sounds the lower control arm makes every time you back while turning slowy out of your drive, thus aligning your perception with the dealer
get accustomed to never really believing its actually locked, or just locked for now
change the engine, and rear dif fluids together.

more to come

As far as knuckle popping sounds that's a by product of Ackerman steering with high performance tires turning sharply when backing up in cold weather. This happens on many other cars as well.

The rear diff fluid interval should be 10K miles IMHO. There have been some failures.

The oil change should be at 5K miles per findings from UOAs.

By 2018 most things had been sorted. A good vehicle history is always a good thing to have. If you're buying from a dealer you won't get this. Expect it if you're buying private.

And if you're buying private you're buying the seller as well as the car. Make sure they are diligent and knowledgeable.
Cheers Guys, I have heard about the crabbing the 4matic system does turning at low speeds. Its more that im getting the vehicle delivered to me at which point ill get 30minute to an hour to poke about and test the car. Is there weaknesses or known faults is should be checking for in this time? I got them to through in 3 years Merc Warranty with the purchase cost. So i have a little bit of assurance there.
Belated welcome to the forum!

An excellent resource here of GLA45 shop manuals. Happy reading and driving!
