the LA Autoshow confirmed the GLA would be making its North American debut at the show in November. We've already seen the GLA but we should get information regarding NA pricing, option lists and at least standard features...

thanks for the update, can't wait for this to happen, we'll finally get a look of what the production model will look like.
Hopefully we'll soon know when the GLA45 AMG will debut as well.
Looking forward to seeing how the GLA is in person. I would like to see the GLA 45 AMG but It might not be shown till later.
how long did it take Mercedes to announce the CLA 45 after the CLA 200 was confirmed? Will probably give us a hint into that. I don't know if Mercedes would use LA as world announcement of at GLA 45, I was thinking more along the lines of Geneva in January.

Good point. Even from the first break of any new around the CLA it was the CLA 180 and CLA 200. Then anything CLA 45 related happened months later. It's going to be a while.
It will be a while till the GLA45 happens but LA will most likely not be the place for an official announcment.
its also possible GLA doesn't get an AMG derivative. I'm going off the relationship of C-class/GLK when looking at CLA/GLA. C class has the C63 AMG but GLK doesn't have an AMG...

So CLA has AMG, A-class has AMG, GLA may be left out. I'm sure when looking at it as a business case demand will not be there like it was for the CLA...

Although a GLA 45 would be good for percentages on a margin starved model...
Now they're fekkin diluting the AMG Brand...

From Cocles article...

When it was put to Kallenius that the introduction of another six new AMG models in the next four years and considering that performance SUVs are hugely popular would make the GLK AMG a prime candidate for the AMG treatment, he replied, “funnily enough it’s not the first candidate … we have enough imagination to fill up that 30 [models] before you know it.”
To many models is what dropped them out of first place a few years back, now their plan to get back on top is to double down their strategy and produce even more models...

I get it, nickel and dime profitability. 1980s Cadillac...
It seems like something most of the top luxury brands are doing, just look at where BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, even Maserati and Lamborghini and Porsche are doing for the future.
