What does everyone think of these? They will most likely be offered in Europe only, but I like them.

The backing is still leatherette or leather:

I hate cloth seats. Way too hard to clean.
Id take MBTEX over cloth anyday of the year.

the worst is spilling coffee on them, at least with leather seats its VERY easy to clean up a mess lke that
they just suck period.

they gather dust. absorb liquid and dirt. need to be vacuumed or shampooed to be sanitary. and all that lint and dust!
Apart from the cleaning difficulties, I think the seats overall aren't good looking enough for a Benz. Although we have to remember that the GLA is a cheap Benz. The stitching looks nice on the headrest and outside of the set, but that cross stitch pattern in the middle part of the seat I think looks cheap.

Come to think of it, I like the part of the seat with no cloth on it, and don't like the cloth part, so in the end the cloth seat is not a winner in my books.
I think cloth seats look nice. Don't get me wrong.

They remind me of racing seats.

i agree.
only plus side to them is that in hot or cold weather they don't hold the outside temperature as much as leather seats. but most new cars come with heated seats so it shouldn't be an issue.
I feel like when you are buying a luxury car it looks weird if you don't put in the nicer trim options. A less expensive car with all the bells and whistles makes sense, but a Benz with no options or upgrades looks silly. I think this is one of the things that is odd about the GLA and CLA.

Some prefer to pay extra for superior chassis engineering and higher quality materials, instead of paying extra for technology add-ons and entertainment features. ;)

I'd rather pay for integrated engineering over add-ons. The tech features always seem dated after a few years anyway, whereas superior engineering lasts.

that is so true, just look at smartphones for example, some people are always upgrading from one device to the next.
it's also something i can see that can really sky rocket the price of a vehicle when you check off all that tech when configuring it.
Aritco Leather...

I went for the Artico leather trim with silver grey stitching, stylish and easy to clean... especially with 2 kids in the back seat...
Hi, I am a happy GLA owner but missed out some features such as under seat storage compartment when ordering the car. Does anyone know where this compartment can be bought from. I checked at the GLA dealer and the Parts from MB has a very very high price so I was hoping to find it ceaper other places.?
Where did they find the black gunny sacks with white thread running through them?
Kjelsoer - Check out the other thread where someone purchased the under seat storage on ebay and installed them theirselves.
