Great! I'll see you there, I got off the waitlist and squeeked by the wife acceptance factor to register on 2-28. (Huge thanks for the org tip, it got me off my butt to do this). I'll definitely be in the novice class though. Booked full day instruction too, for whatever that will be worth given the Gorgonzola 19 restrictions. Just a measly 435 HP here, but maybe we can compare notes on tires, I'm running Bridgestone Potenza RE71R's.
Are you on OEM brake pads, BTW? I put n Hawk HPS 5.0 last Sunday and am on the fence about them still. Which might change once I get them raging hot.
What was the issue with the wastegate? hope not just something simple like a loose bolt or seized up spring?
That's awesome! Hope to see you there. If you find us, feel free to park next to us. I will be in the black GLA45, with my friend in the brand new RED C8 Stingray. I'm using EBC yellow brake pads, with racing brake fluid. Whatever pads you are using will be just fine as you won't be pushing it that hard with all the traffic anyways. The event is sold out so I expect the Novice group to be crowded and slow going. I wouldn't worry about getting too loose, too fast, or abusing your car with this many cars on the track. You will be in training for your first 2 sessions and on your own in the afternoon. My data logs were showing the boost was dropping off during WOT, it may be normal. I won't be able to test the Wastegate until this weekend when my test equipment arrives. Don't forget track day insurance to CYA (I use Hagerty, expect it to be around $300). You will have a blast and want to come back again. I highly recommend you get trackaddict app (free) for your phone and a good phone holder to record the video, which makes for a fun playback with map and lap times too. I have watched my videos over and over to learn from them. I end up with 5 cameras when I race, For the record, I have only done this a couple of times and am no expert, just want to have fun, in my fun car!
