Factory refused to install Intelligent Lighting System

Hi all. Just need some advise on the GLA2504M which I've ordered some times back with Intelligent Lighting System. During production, while I was on vacation, I received a call from the dealer saying that the factory refused to install the system and advised me to install the halogen lighting. The reason is due to my special order for a RHD to be driven in LHD country that the system may not work when I return to my home country with the car. Since I was distressed with other personal matter and there was a probability that I have to return home anytime, I just want the car be produced immediately - hence with the halogen. Upon checking with MB in home country, they said that all GLA sold in my country is equipped with bi-xenon, and not halogen - and regardless of LHD or RHD, it is just a matter of pushing the button to set the lighting. I feel so cheated and now the car is already here with the dealer. Should I get them to retrofit the car with bi-xenon at the very least??? Thanks.

I have problems with mine, in guarantee, 3 days at the shop, same problem, and not even a part chnaged....taxi, rent a car, I am going to spend a lot of money time energy and disapoitment into this, 34k for this is way too much....this is a junk car
Have you already picked up the GLA and driven it off the lot and how did you pay for it?
If you have actually taken possession it will be more difficult, but if you haven't yet you might have more leverage. Sounds like they are giving you a bull **** excuse though.
Paperwork for customs clearance is on its way. I have not taken possession of the car nor that I have seen the final product. I've spoken to the sales manager and he explained that after many futile attempts to convince the factory that they should manufacture the car as ordered, they just gave up since the factory would stall the production. The only explanation given by the factory is it is impossible for a RHD car to be delivered in right-side country to be installed with an Intelligent Light System or Bi-Xenon at the very least. The sales manager suggested that we write to Daimler AG to complain and demand for a retrofit at their cost. I don't know whether this would work or not. :mad::mad:

The sales manager sounds very helpful. Maybe take him up on the offer write to Daimler AG.
