I think you will love it! I haven't driven a Santa Fe, but we considered a Kia Sorrento before the GLA. Both are fine vehicles but I continue to be amazed at what a fantastic vehicle the GLA is. Best car I've even owned for sure!
If you search this site you will find many discussions of Becker Map Pilot and other navigation options.
My GLA250 came with the Becker Map Pilot. It is not the best navigation system I've used, but is functional. Many of the functions are not intuitive. I first encountered Becker Map Pilot in my wife's GLK two years ago. Since then I've learned work arounds that let me use it without too much frustration.
I'm a "built-in" nav guy so I got Becker Map Pilot, and must say I'm very disappointed with it. Absolutely worst map display I've ever encountered, and non-existent voice recognition. It is the only thing I don't like about my car.
Knowing what I know now, I would have chosen a car with the "real" MB system. It was last January, the GLA had just come out, and my dealer had just gotten in the exact car I wanted with the exception of no nav.
My recommendation is either invest in a really nice Garmin unit or just use your phone.
congrats on your new toy...use your phone its easy... I do suggest radar detectors and the apps that come with them..i run a escort 9500ix and with your nav system you are set up... enjoy the ride I just hit 1500miles on mine today
