The Mercedes-Benz CLA is doing really well in the US since its release. The GLA is next on the docket. The CLA helped Mercedes-Benz to increase its passenger and commercial vehicle sales by 13% in the third quarter. If the GLA does equally as well, Benz will certainly be rolling in the dough. Do you think the CLA's success means that the GLA will be equally successful? Maybe it will even outsell the CLA.

I think that small sedans and CUVs are probably the biggest segments today. So both vehicles should sell crazy well. The only other segment that I can think of that might sell as well would be trucks. I know the F-150 sells like crazy.

Lets see here.

Mercedes sold 4895 CLAs in October and 2695 GLKs in October :)

I think the GLA should do great considering its going to undercut the GLK.

In the US the only similar sized car to the GLA is the R class.. And that thing is well... Just plain boring.

I'm not sure if my data is accurate but I read that Mercedes sold ONE R class Mercedes in October :)

I think that the GLA will not have some of the few problems that people report with the CLA. The larger size means that the back seat head and legroom will likely be increased. I don't know if that will actually entice buyers, but I could see it making people choose the GLA over the CLA, and that says something.

Peeople will pick the GLA over the CLA simply because its taller and looks like an SUV

Some people dont want small sedans. Too limited when it comes to storage.
That and along with what is more practical for them. Not everyone will need and want a CLA, same goes for the GLA.

If I don't need the space the GLA has, no reason to get it, best to save money and get the CLA.
