A friend moved my car, left key in car and evidently left on a light or something. Battery dead. Where is the best place to buy a battery? And is it hard to replace

Welcome to the GLAowners forum. Sorry to hear that. Might actually be covered by warranty at only two years old, so worth going to a dealer. Also worth going to the dealer because some electronic systems might need a computer plug-in to re-sync or update firmware/software.

We’re an international group with a variety of GLA derivatives. As a reference to others in future posts, it helps to add location, GLA model and year to your member profile, which then displays under your name. You can do that from the User CP link on the upper right of most browsers.

You might try using a battery charger and charge the battery. Another option is jump start the car and drive it on a short trip and it might just charge it self.

MB dealer replaced the main battery on our FL FWD 2018 this past Spring, under warranty. Unknown why it died the morning after a drive from Ft Lauderdale - Orlando. They recently updated the firmware which they indicated may help resolve such issues.
I also have a near future appt to update the firmware on our MA AWD 2018, which hasn't had a battery failure, for this and iPhone-CarPlay connectivity issues.
Note other discussions here of the secondary battery that maintains the auto start/stop as possibly related.
