I'll take at crack at it since these two are on my short list.

Colours: fewer choices with the GLA in Europe, NA is tbd
Availability & build time for custom spec: hopefully soon but custom spec could be 6 months
I am still hoping that the actual 2015 Audi released will be upgraded from the announced spec to have adaptive cruise control (like the A3), but that is a long shot. It must certainly be on their list for the next model revision.
The standard features vs option packages of both will differ between. The price comparisons for a comparably fully loaded vehicle will have one being more expensive, but may be the opposite for the standard base or lightly configured spec. All this should be clear in the next month.
the difference in what they include might or might not have an effect when it comes to sales, i'd be looking forward to hearing what people have to say about the two when they look at them.
Will be following this closely, not only are both on my list as well but the A3 sedan is trouncing the CLA right now. So as was posted in that other thread I wonder if GLA will succumb to Audi the same as CLA did...
I cannot find any sales figures for the UK where both the Q3 and GLA are available, and with diesel engines as well. Lead time for custom order for both seem to be about 8-10 weeks. The Q3 has a toe hold other there and appear to have higher sales.
There are more Benz dealer in NA and this may give them an edge in sale. Also the GLA is hot off the drawing boards while the Q3 is three years old. The are pro and cons with both.
It's should be tight race, probably dictated by available supply.
I think it's going to be tough getting those sales figures, we might just have to wait for some publication to scoop up that info and push it out on the net
The Benz's roofline peaks at 1.49 meters, 8.6cm lower than that of the RS Q3. There’s just 7mm splitting their lengths, and it's mostly due to the big chin spoiler of the GLA. Let's take a look under the hood as well. With the Audi, it's a five-cylinder engine that now produces 250 kW (340 hp) and 450 Nm (331.9 lb-ft) of torque. As a result of this boost in output, 0 to 100 km/h takes only 4.8 seconds, the exact same time as the GLA 45 AMG.
Everything we've read so far suggests the GLA 45 AMG is also superior when it encounters some curves, as its weight transitions better and the chassis comes alive. So the only really good thing about the RS Q3 is the engine, and that's not really enough to sell a car.
The Audi Q3 just looks more clunky when put beside the GLA but they do have a few more options that comes standard.
