For the past two weeks the car has been trying to get my attention. Took it in for service and the code they pulled was P06DA00. This DTC is referencing the oil pump valve located inside the engine oil pan. Has anybody else dealt with this?

Lots of posts on other forums about this. There is a discussion on MBWORLD that argues that the fault is actually beneficial in that it disables the reduced oil pressure setting in the 2-stage oil pump, which is set to be normally open. Only when the car is running is the oil pressure reduced under 3500 rpm. The use of 2-stage oil pumps is not unique to Mercedes, and is only one of those things used to reduce fuel consumption, just like the start/stop feature.
