I believe in changing the rear diff oil every 10K miles. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record on this Forum regarding this. But changing the oil has fixed a lot of noise problems. And it's just good pre-emptive maintenance IMHO.
I get the sentiment but 10K is a bit excessive when you think about engine oil changes.
What does the service manual tell you about rear diff service intervals>

This discussion has sort of lead me to look further.
The only reference I can find to a rear diff change at every A service is in AMG models only including GLA.
There is nothing in the long list of services anywhere close to saying when the GLA rear diff should be changed.
Given the cost and assuming one drives about 20000km annually it would be my plan to change it every two years with the brake fluid after I did a first one when getting the car which I think every new owner of a used car should do.

This is very much the right course but according to a YT video from SPA Auto Sam says the MB specifies a double flush. Sam does one, road tests and if the issue is not cleared does the second one.
