With SIP Pam's battery got really low and all the electronics shut down. I checked the Owner's Manual for reset instructions ... It appears that there are no requirements on there vehicles.

So my first question would be ... What requirements are there to shift into gear?

The most obvious (to me) ... Make sure the brake lights are on. If not them the pedal switch may not be working.

On my car off things get weird various Forums suggest disconnecting the battery (ground terminal) for ten minutes and then reconnecting it cleanly (quick connection minimizing sparks).

Good luck. Please let us know what you find.

I'm having exactly the same problem, it now saw the AUX battery is bad but that shouldn't prevent it from going into gear, right? The car starts up just fine.

Thinking about it, the car wouldn't start of it didn't see the brake pedal.

Sorry for that misdirection.

Here's what happened. Dealership said that my trans valve plate failed and caused battery to die. Gonna cost me $4000 to fix it. Ugh
