Hi,

I seem to have run into an issue with using apple car play on my GLA. I can't maximize or navigate through apps on the carplay once i connect my iphone. The controller (round dial) doesn't seem to select or 'click on' any option, though i can navigate. Once the phone is disconnected, it works fine.
I have tried resetting MB setting and iphone both.
Interestingly, i can work the apps via SIRI .. and it is seamlessly. I have seen this issue only in the last 15-20 days. Any pointers or fixes..

Car: 2018 GLA 250
Phone: Iphone 11 Pro Max
IOS: 14.2

Just tested mine:
2017 GAL250
iPhone 11 Pro w/ iOS 14.2

No problem what so ever.
Thanks for checking.. Read somewhere that it could be a firmware update (just got my car serviced 3 weeks back). I am taking it back to dealership, to be checked.

I am having the same issue with my GLA recently. Did they manage to fix it in your case?

Hi,

its actually an settings issue in ios 14.2
1. Enable carplay from screen time—>content & privacy—>allowed apps
2. Turn off assistive touch

this would do the trick ! Good luck
