does this mean that it qualifies as a lemon legally if it goes back to the shop a third time for the same problem? I'm not from USA and I know the rules vary state-to-state. If it automatically qualifies as a lemon, don't waste your time dealing with a buyback unless MB is gonna pay you significantly more than what you would get with a lemon case. if you're protected legally, then MBs issues with selling a branded car are not your problem to deal with. cut your losses and move on. but if your issues are not automatically a lemon case or MB offers you more than what you paid "for your troubles", take that instead. They can run a diagnostic to see exactly when it happened and at what speed. My car has done it 6 times since Ive owned it (GLA 250 4MATCI 2021 and it's been at the Dealership for 4 weeks then again now for 6 weeks. Once more and it is a LEMON.
warranty only means that any faults are fixed at the manufacturers cost. it doesn't really make a difference in this case because they haven't been able to solve the problem and haven't recalled the car. all the warranty is doing for you right now is preventing you paying labour/parts cost. once your warranty is up, you have a responsibly to pay out of pocket and may have a harder time with a lemon/buyback case
