Got a GLA 220 (2016) and the paint started peeling off from the buttons. Anyone has a clue if its repairable or what the part number is for replacement please? Need to replace bottom 3 buttons

Another thread has discussed this before on an AMG. If I recall correctly, the affected buttons were replaced in warranty.

since you don’t have warranty, you may have to replace the whole switchgear, not just the caps for the buttons or some of them. Will be expensive.

Alternatively, take photos of the buttons, remove the paint from them completely and get some stickers made to replace them. That would be cheaper and easy.

I believe there are some chrome trim button covers available on AliExpress, see if you can get them to cover up the original ones.
This can happen if you use lotion on your hands. Porsche used to have major problems due to this. The buttons generally are a complete assembly. The idea of stickers or covers makes sense.

Also during the pandemic (which I try to continue) was/is the use of hand sanitizer. The alcohol in same tends to release adhesives. In fact I often use Isopropyl alcohol to remove store label adhesive residue from project wood.

I don't know what level of quality or expense you are looking for, but there are manufacturers who make sticker kits to go over the buttons, like this that I found on Etsy: Mercedes Benz Full Set Window Rectangle Steering Door Lock - Etsy. I cannot find a kit that has those buttons though.
Yeah I ordered the ones i need from Ali express, delivery will be in a week or so.
will see if it will look decent, if not will need to get replacement buttons whichI found some used on eBay, but much more expensive
