I have been following somewhat close to the CLA too and just gauging from the amount of interest for the CLA45 AMG its no surprise. Many have already dropped a deposit for one. Its probably one of the most affordable AMGs ever. For the price you get a good amount of performance and luxury for your buck.

Im not surprised to see these flying off the shelves. It's the cheapest AMG money can buy that still look really good and can beat V8's in the 1/4 mile or at least keep up with them.

well considering how few they are making its not extremely hard to sell out of them.

But I mean... The reason the CLA 45 AMG is successful is the same reason the CLA 250 is also successful..

yep yeppp, hit it on the head there fella. Of course the baby AMGs are going to sell. It was never a question of demand for these cars but always a question of quality.

What type of quality had to be sacrificed for quantity. Any body who has studied economics for 10 seconds will know that Quality and Quantity are mutually exclusive. No you cannot have your cake and eat it too...

The GLA will be the car to get in it's segment, who doesn't want a Mercedes SUV for cheap that looks 'boss'

Sitting in CLA I'd say the build quality is as good as an entry level C class. Which I find to be acceptable.

and it hasn't been good, poor fitting panels with 1-2 inch gaps, not pretty. they should hopefully learn from that and have an even more flawless interior on the GLA.

the CLA is understandable since the price for them is low for a mercedes and its an entry leevl just like how the 190e was back in the day. But that isn't an excuse for the GLA.
