I have been following somewhat close to the CLA too and just gauging from the amount of interest for the CLA45 AMG its no surprise. Many have already dropped a deposit for one. Its probably one of the most affordable AMGs ever. For the price you get a good amount of performance and luxury for your buck.

New Zealand has the highest amount of AMG's per capita. They like to go fast over there... but they like big V8s, ever hear of Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon?

sounds liek more interest in racing than anything...

"We have many customers who would like to race a three-pointed star but not an SLS GT3 at the first [stage]. Maybe it is too serious or too expensive."
CLA Race hello, they should do a GLA race just for kicks ;)

well considering how few they are making its not extremely hard to sell out of them.

But I mean... The reason the CLA 45 AMG is successful is the same reason the CLA 250 is also successful..

Attractive car. Mercedes badge. Marketed at youth. Low entry price. Kate Upton and Usher in the commercials?! Soold

yep yeppp, hit it on the head there fella. Of course the baby AMGs are going to sell. It was never a question of demand for these cars but always a question of quality.

What type of quality had to be sacrificed for quantity. Any body who has studied economics for 10 seconds will know that Quality and Quantity are mutually exclusive. No you cannot have your cake and eat it too...
