Hi, would appreciate your input as I am trying to troubleshoot an issue.
Own a 2017 Gla200 with 60k kms (aprox 37k miles). Since I bought it, I noticed a constant hissing sound when the I turned on the AC (seemed to be coming from somewhere between the cabin and the engine; like the firewall).
Took it about six months ago to the shop and while technician didn't see anything wrong with the AC, he did notice something that looks like a leak of coolant or refrigerant coming from a hose to/from the compressor.
Fast forward to today; I was driving to the office with the AC on and out of a sudden, the cabin vents began to blow warm air (noticed that the side driver vent was blowing hotter air).
On further inspection once back home, noticed that the aluminum tubing felt cold to the touch (thus the compressor must be working?).
Puzzled about what may be the issue. Wanted to check with you guys before heading back to the shop (not fully confident of the technician I spoke to a few months back).
