No way to elegantly do so. However in the pre-2020 model years once the small Li-ion battery fails so does the auto start/stop. Not sure if same for 2020+.

My 2022 start-stop remembers the last setting through reboots (I work in computers and I can't remember the automobile-equivalent term) but it had to be coded through an OBD2 dongle with a guy who knows what he's doing. Inelegant indeed, especially if you're a DIYer. Look up a coder if you're interested--I used RJ Automotive based in England but did it all online.

And yes, the feature does stay off if the Li-ion battery doesn't have enough of a charge, but as there are other features that depend on this battery, it's not worth the trade-off. I think the adaptive cruise control depends on this battery too but don't quote me on that...
