This is presumably camshaft bearing related. Not a typical wear issue but then anything can happen.
Indeed should be addressed sooner rather than later as it won't heal itself.
btw: While they're already in there be sure to have them take a look at the water pump and timing chain. And of course they can also analyze your misfire issue.
