Looking to buy a spare tire. Is this one good or are there better options?

My dad wants to buy a spare tire for his gla 250 4 matic to give him some peace of mind. I have read all the posts on this forum that mention the term "spare tire" and have found only one link to a purchasable option. I've seen some people mention they got a space saver spare, which would a better option since it would take up less space, but I haven't been able to find such an item online.

It turns out that I can't post link as a new account but its a $400 spare found on the bimmerzone website. Is this the best option for a spare wheel?

EDIT: now that I check out ebay it turns out that a CLS550 spare tire fits a gla250 as well and its only $120. Is this true? Should I avoid buying "used" spare tires, aka maybe the rubber has gotten too old to be used?

Welcome to the GLA forum. Is this one of the threads you saw? Kinda dated now, but was a good guide for those wanting more than run flats.

yup. that was the first one I read but I figured that perhaps his spare wheel size restrictions and lug situation were specific to amg models. I assumed the regular gla 250 might have a easier spare tire situation.
