Let me know if you’ve heard of someone doing this etc. looks like it could be a good workaround?

Looks cool but I would go for one that has Apple Car Play compatibility.

I am not able to post links. Search my posts on this forum. The 10.25 is the same as the 9.33. You need a dongle for Carplay.

The original display is secured with two torx screws that insert downward between the dash on the display. To see these screws you must first remove a couple of small plastic covers. Once you remove the screws the screen lifts off. Cables canbe unplugged.

From what I've read on the new displays replacement should pretty much be the reverse but you may have to install an adaptor.

I did not have the courage to do it myself. Had it professionally installed. You have to remove the entire front existing unit and plug in cable adaptors in the existing ports. If you install it yourself, make sure your order the tool kit as you also need to remove the vents and the front dash.

How long does it take for the screen to be active after starting the car?

What about time for camera to show up between start car -> immediately put in reverse?
