New Owner 2019 GLA250 4MATIC Advice?

Hi! I'm a newbie and getting the car in 2 days for lease of 4 years. I am still debating if I should get the dent and windshield protection package? I got the tire protection package. Also-any other advice from everyone here? Thanks!

Congratulations and welcome to the GLA forum. One thing I'd suggest is that you add location, GLA model and year to your member profile, which will then display each time you post. It's a good reference for others to respond to your questions or comments. You can do so from the User CP link on the upper right of most browsers.

Dent protection ... Do you park in a tight public area or in a private garage?

I think the windshields hold up pretty well ... Haven't heard of problems like some cars (of lesser strength???) have. But if you drive in construction zones with flying rocks that's a different story!!!

I got the wheel protection as my wife isn't the best parallel parker.

In my state we can get one insurance-free windshield annually if required so passed on that.

As Wayne says the other coverages very dependent on your locale and intended driving areas.

All the best, I know you'll enjoy it!

If you are in an area where you are very likely to have dent damage, yes you might buy it. Many states auto insurance covers windshield in basic coverage. Look at the cost of the dent insurance and how many dents you think you could have. There are paintless dent repair companies that might be cheaper to do than pay premiums. Rember they are insurance companies selling dent and windshield coverage and they are in the business to make money. The odds are in their flavor to collect more than they spend. Read your lease as there are wear and tear allowed and they might allow for a few dents under a size. Been leasing for 24 years and never had a problem with either. Did have a truck throw a rock and chipped the windshield and the auto insurances paid 100% to replace.
