Picking up a new GLA next week - any updates to check for?

Two questions I guess; we have the Harman Kardon sound and COMAND infotainment; does anyone know what the latest firmware to expect is and how to check?

I assume the transmission, airbag spring etc will all be covered by the dealer as safety critical issues but I'd bet they'll happy ignore updates to the software

Anything else to check/worry about?

Thanks!

Matt

A dealership will check the vin and if there are updates or service campaigns they should do them as MB will pay them. Took my 2016 for the clock spring ground recall and the service manger said there was a system update also listed and would be done at the same time. Can not see why a deal would pass up get payment from MB for doing repairs and updates and make a customer happy at the same time.

You'd think that, but some dealers just don't want to be bothered, it seems.

Yes after many years on MB forms seen many post of poor dealers world wide. Guess I am one of the lucky ones that have a top notch dealer.

2015 had an open recall for a grounding cable on the steering column, possibility of airbags deploying spontaneously.

Once you have the VIN you can do a recall check on the internet.
