In my car there are two sets of jacks on the front "wall" of the center console storage compartment. AUX is one of the jacks in one of the sets. I've inserted a plastic "tray" in the storage compartment for holding coins, pens, USBs, etc, and have the multiple cables--Apple connector, USB, AUX--inserted into the appropriate jack and sticking out through a hole in the "tray" so I can easily access it.

I have a 2015 GLA45.

I went to the dealership and bought a 30 pin IPOD cable so I could put most of my music on a 120 gig ipod classic. The cable they sold me was an octopus cable, with a 30 pin ipod cable and the 1/8th inch phono jack for AUX.

To use AUX, the ipod has to be disconnected. Works fine though.
