Blind Spot detectors

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this has been posted before, I tried to search for it but I failed.

Do you guys know if there's anyway to make the sound of the detectors louder? The other day my music was louder than normal and I definitely did not hear the detector.

Sorry if this has been asked or answered before.

ETA: sorry if this is in the wrong forum

Unless I'm mistaken, the only time the blind spot detector makes any sound is if you actuate the turn signal while it is detecting a passing car. I would love to have the option of it making a sound whenever it spots a passing car.

Here is a document I found on-line that does a pretty good job of explaining blind spot Assist, but it doesn't mention an ability to adjust the volume of the audible warning.

sorry, I should have been more clear, I meant the noise when you turn on the signal.

I do not think the sound level is user adjustable, but with that said the outside mirrors do have visual notifications... blinking red triangle.

I agree with you-I would like that sound to be louder.

I didn't even know it made a sound until we were leaving our neighborhood a couple days ago. We had the turn signal on to make the left hand turn, and half way through the turn it beeped! There are two lanes than can turn left, and there was a car next to us on the inside lane. I guess we reached the appropriate speed half way through the turn because it didn't beep prior to that even though there were several cars in both lanes waiting for the light to change.

My wife has a 2015 Lexus RX-350, and her blind spot assist doesn't make a sound when it has detected a passing car and you put the turn signal on-it just goes from solid to flashing. It is also yellow, not red. -2 points for the Lexus.

I know that when I used the turn signal while the blind spot was on, the beep was loud enough to drown out Aerosmith.
